Poor Man’s Water Purifier

by Admin on December 8, 2011

If you read the “Consumer Confidence Report” that comes from your water company…. it may have the following information on it: “Some people may be more vulnerable to contaminants in drinking water than the general population. Immune-compromised persons such as persons with cancer undergoing chemotherapy, persons who have undergone organ transplants, people with HIV/AIDS or other immune system disorders, some elderly, and infants can be particularly at risk from infection. These people should seek advice about drinking water from their health care providers.” I’d say that we have a problem. We start out with water that “immune-compromised” persons and babies should not drink and the water becomes acidic as it flows through the city’s pipes. Acidic water flowing through pipes picks up lead and other contaminants directly from the pipes it runs through. So the water that we started with might have been adequately safe for the general public, but now what about the water that actually comes out of the faucet? The following cheap, home treatment that improves the taste. I cannot prove that it does anything else. I think it may be healthier based on the following: “Dr. Earp-Thomas added a handful of wheatgrass to fluoridated water for several minutes. When the grass was removed and the water tested, no fluorine was traceable. Later, an official of the Water Department of New York City tested fluoridated water in which a small sprig of wheatgrass had been swished. He could

just put a pinch or two of baking soda in your glass of water and BAM it makes the difference very cheaply and easily :-)

@pagalimommy
My local organic store carries “Bob’s Red Mill (watch out the Red may indicate Masonic company” which does NOT list aluminum in the ingredients unlike Arm & Hammer which DOES CONTAIN ALUMINUM.
Personally I purchased a couple under the sink Fluoride (whole house size) to put on the cold water line.
10″ INTELIFIL FLUORIDE ACTIVATED ALUMINA WATER FILTER $24 & matching Intelifil (EGCW14) 10″ “EG” Filter Housing 1/4″NPT White/Clear (FH-UF1014WL/EG) from ISOPUREWATER d.o.t. com .

I use whole alfalfa sprouts. When I tried just the tops of plants, it didn’t work.

Boiling the water gets rid of volatile chemicals like chlorine. And yes the water tastes much better!

You can also put the water in a glass jar in the sun. The volatile chemicals evaporate and the water takes on energy from the sun. You would have to dowse or use muscle testing to see the difference this makes.

The sprouts, according to Ann Wigmore, changes the toxic fluoride into something nontoxic.

Do you add wheatgrass to a gallon of water as 1 oz juice or you add the whole plant with the root?

Don’t throw out the wheatgrass sprouts! Add them to your juicer. Or give them to your kitties. :-)

Isnt wheat grass just young wheat. I was told this by a farmer,so if thats true, then i could go and get some wild wheat growing out in the back. Is the grass in a typical backyard a similar variety to wheat grass. In other words, would regular grass work.or wild oats, wild rye, im just wondering why specifically wheat grass, as the seeds are kind of pricey. Like i said though, if i can grow it, then ill try to grow the first batch to the point of saving it”s seeds.

12 yellowbootsandsnowsh December 8, 2011 at 3:17 pm

I didnt know wheat grass could grow that well without soil! I want to grow wheat grass and collect my own seeds so i can keep growing it. Have you had any success that way? We ate my first batch of wheatgrass so i couldnt get any seeds.

@TableWolfMusic

Do you know of people that drink urine?

Plants and trees are needed to keep the earths resources pure. And they are cutting down the rainforests and not replanting. Very sad.

Mixing baking soda with tap water is a good idea. It’s safe to drink and kills cancer in the body.

There are recepie for adding electrlites to water it is tsp per 2 liter of water, baking soda,sea salt and either sugar, agave nectar or some other fruit juice. This was proven to reduce consumption or water in firefighters but their urine tested equally with other firefighters that consumed greater quantaties of water. Not recommended for everyday water this is for people that are exerting themselves they claim kidney damage could occur if prolonged unnecessary use were continued.

Thank you for posting this. I had no idea that wheatgrass had that effect on fluoride in water! Woohooo!! That’s awesome! :)

20 JanColdwater December 8, 2011 at 6:48 pm

Barb, I claim that you are smart! ;) I am currently drinking baking soda in water to help my ph level and I can feel a positive difference already!

21 JASONANDTRACI December 8, 2011 at 6:59 pm

@Whiterhin018 You are 100% wrong Sodium Fluoride is linked to bone cancer and IQ reduction, etc. Also there are over 200 other chemicals which are included under the Sodium Fluoride label including Uranium. Sodium Fluoride is rat poison. Stay Safe

@megatron123ful What does that have to do with the usefulness of what she is saying? You’ll be old sooner than you think . And, you’ll remember reading this.

Thank you for this info. I appreciate it.

24 ArizonaAdventures December 8, 2011 at 8:12 pm

@barbfeick oh I see. Do you know a source for seeds? Everyplace I can find a large amount of seeds, 35-50lbs., the shipping is almost as much as the seeds! Thanks for getting back to me so fast as well :)

25 barbfeick December 8, 2011 at 8:19 pm

@ArizonaAdventures – No I haven’t. I think you need the roots of the plant and not just the tops for it to work.

26 sustaekena December 8, 2011 at 8:25 pm

Thanks for uploading! lol I have a similar truck (’79 P10) and is currently tearing it down from the inside to ready it for appliances, plumbing, electrical. I was just looking at the generator today at the store and was thinking about where to place it, thought about the configuration you have or maybe on the side like an RV. Can you show more video of the water line and it’s connections including the water heater and storage/holding tanks. Thanks.

27 10millout December 8, 2011 at 8:33 pm

28 SnapSquatchMusic December 8, 2011 at 8:43 pm
